Prospective Parents >> Admissions Process
Admissions Process
The first step in our Admissions Process is a parent visit. We welcome you to join us at an open house or to schedule an appointment that is convenient for you. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to take a tour led by one of our Upper Elementary students, speak with the Director of Enrollment and observe classrooms.
Parents will receive enrollment applications when they visit Washington Montessori School. (Applications are also available online. See below.) Applicants Applications and fees ($40 for Lower School, $50 for Elementary and Middle School) should be returned to the school’s Admission Office. In addition, records from the students' current schools are needed for applicants to the Elementary and Middle Schools.Upon receipt of application, prospective students will be invited to visit the school. First Year Elementary students visit classrooms for 45 minutes after lunch. All other Elementary and Middle School students visit classrooms from 8:30-noon. We schedule visits for our Lower School (3-6-year-olds) during a time when there are no children in the classroom.
The application deadline is January 31. Admission decisions are made in February for the following September. We offer rolling admission when space is available.
