Cooking Around the World

Who wants to see what’s cooking? Kids who love to help out in the kitchen will have fun creating a new international dish to take home each day. Whether it’s quesadillas from Mexico or Pad Thai from Thailand, the selected daily dish will kick off an exciting lesson about culture and cooking from a different country.

All dishes will be vegetarian. Kids will also learn important tips about kitchen safety as they learn to cook independently in our professional kitchen.

Terry Hawley ( Lower School Associate Teacher) has been teaching at WMS for 18 years and has taught cooking and craft classes to Lower School and Elementary School students for the past 12 years. Her cooking talents and long teaching experience are the perfect ingredients for giving children a taste of the culinary arts.

Nut-free snacks provided.
