The 7th grade will leave for its class trip to Boston on Wednesday April 9. The class will meet at school at 8:30 a.m., get into vans and head off to the Museum of Science in Boston. We will end the first day at the Lexington Montessori School with a community meeting, some quiet activities and sleep. When students wake up Thursday morning, they will make breakfast, pack their lunches and head to the Tsongas Industrial History Center in Lowell, Massachusetts. We have arranged a program that focuses on the history of the people who worked at the mills and also look at the process of creating cloth from raw cotton. After spending time in Lowell we will stop off at the Alcott House in Concord before returning to Lexington Montessori for dinner, community meeting and sleep. On Friday 7th graders will visit both Sleepy Hollow Cemetery and Walden Pond, then return to WMS at 3:30 p.m.
