Students in our Young Children’s Community spend time every day in the Practical Life area, which provides students with many opportunities to feel independence and competence, and develop their fine and gross motor skills as they engage in real world activities such as washing tables, folding clothes, and preparing food.  Practical life skills play a major role in the development of a toddler child. The Practical Life area helps to develop a child’s independence, sense of order, coordination, and concentration.
