Opening Bell Ceremony & International Peace Day

WMS celebrated our first annual Opening Bell Ceremony and International Peace Day on Monday, September 21st.

The WMS Opening Bell ceremony involved gathering in the gym to sing, ring the bells and welcome everyone to the new year. 

WMS joined the community of Montessori schools around the world to sing "Light A Candle for Peace." The song lasted for 24 hours, traveling around the world starting in New Zealand and ending in Hawaii. WMS middle school students also read poems about peace.
