Planned Parenthood for Parent Ed 2011

Planned Parenthood of Southern New England will present “Sex Ed for Parents: Real Life. Real Talk,” a program designed for parents of children ages roughly 6-9 years old (although parents of children all ages are invited and welcome to attend.)  This program is free of charge and open to the public. It will be held in the Washington Montessori School Theater at 8:45 a.m. on January 31.

“Real Life, Real Talk” provides valuable information, ideas, opportunities for dialogue, and tools/skills parents can use to help their children make responsible and sexually healthy decisions. Planned Parenthood’s literature states that, “many parents and guardians need assistance to build their comfort and skill level to open and maintain positive communication with their children, and they aren't always comfortable providing that information. As the primary sexuality educator of your child it's important to remember that communication about sexuality is an ongoing process that can support your child's health.”
