WHO CAN TAKE THE POLAR PLUNGE FOR PARTNERSHIP?
Anyone over the age of 6 can take the Polar Plunge, but parents must be present and sign a waiver for any child under the age of 18.

I CAN’T TAKE THE PLUNGE, BUT I’D LIKE TO OFFER MY SUPPORT.
The Washington Montessori School Community Partnership Program is a wonderful cause that we at WMS are proud to support. Gifts to the WMSCCP can be made online or by downloading the gift form and returning to Washington Montessori School.

THIS IS MY FIRST TIME PLUNGING. DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE?

Wear your plunge outfit under your clothes so you won’t have to change lakeside.

You’ll want to get in and out of the lake as quickly as possible, so don’t wear anything that will weigh you down.

You’ll want to get out of your cold, wet plunge outfit even faster—wear something easy to shed.

Bring a robe, blankets, towels and/or a jacket to wear pre-plunge.

Cover your paws—the ground will be freezing! Wear shoes before, during and after the Plunge. Have extra towels to dry off with and to stand on.

Have loose-fitting clothes and shoes to change into post-plunge. Zippers and buttons don’t work easily with cold hands.

Bring a plastic bag for wet clothes.

Don’t plunge if you have any heart conditions or serious medical conditions. If unsure, consult with your doctor before taking the plunge.

Don’t spoil the thrill of the chill! No wet suits or dry suits.

Don’t get in over your head—there’s no need to fully submerge yourself. Get in, get wet and get out.

Don’t forget to smile—photographers will be capturing the moment!
