Wanting to make a difference in the world, Middle School students decided to raise money for Doctors Without Borders’ response to the Ebola crisis in West Africa. Eighth-grader RJ Ciancio along with Nancy’s Advisor Group coordinated the fundraiser and secured an anonymous donor to match whatever they could raise by October 31. They were able to collect $1,000 in cash donations over the past few weeks, and have sent a $2,000 donation to Doctors Without Borders.
Faculty members, Middle School students and Upper Elementary students who made at least a $2 donation to the fundraiser were allowed to wear a Halloween costume to school.
We are pleased that the young members of our community were compelled to support this important world issue.
