Students and parents enjoyed working together in the WMS Community Garden harvesting (and tasting) carrots and garlic. Parent Emily Curtis-Murphy, of Anderson Acres Farm, shared her knowledge of winter crops and helped students weed out some of the garden beds and replant with a winter crop of carrots, wheat and peas. The winter crops will not only grow over the winter but will serve as a “live manure” for that garden bed.
