The entire Middle School spent Earth Day performing community service at the Silo Hunt Hill Farm Trust. Students either spent time cleaning and prepping garden beds, clearing out spaces within the facility or cooking for the group. Middle school students do some sort of community service twice a year. The Silo was chosen for this year’s community service project because of WMS’s relationship with Sandy Daniels, the Silo’s Cooking Director. Sandy has volunteered her time and talents to the middle school’s Gingerbread Project for the past 20 years. The Gingerbread Project is a fundraising project that benefits the Children’s Community School in Waterbury.
