Monday, Feb 1, the three WMS basketball teams were treated to a clinic with the South Kent School Prep Basketball team, with head coach Kelvin Jefferson, WMS parent. Players rotated through three stations – passing, lay-ups, and shooting. The SKS players had a lovely balance of playfulness, encouragement, and specific pointers to improve ball handling and shooting skills. Several of the SKS players demonstrated skills and gave tips on excellent ball handling work. At the end, WMS players were able to ask questions to all the SKS players. It was a terrific experience for both WMS and SKS and wonderful to watch the interactions or players. As one WMS players said, “They were inspiring!” A huge thank you to the SKS team and coaches!
