To further their study of plate tectonics, Sixth and Seventh Graders spent Tuesday visiting Mine Hill Preserve in Roxbury. Local Geologist John Pawloski explained the geological processes that created the precious stone and metals that provided Litchfield County with a rich and vibrant mining industry during the 19th and 20th centuries.
