Coed Silver Soccer Home vs Rumsey
The coed silver soccer team played our second home game against Rumsey Hall on Thursday. While starting off a bit “cold” (literally), the team rallied a good defense against Rumsey’s strong offense. Each player demonstrated strong skills, team coordination and great sportsmanship. Rumsey brought on strong offense and led the game 7-1. Striker Ella Pearl Sellman scored WMS’s lone goal in the first half with a great team effort that elevated enthusiasm all around.  WMS brought back a strong rally in the second half and was able to hold back Rumsey’s dominant offense by reinforcing positioning and communication. Although our opponents carried the game, our team had a strong exciting game till the finish and made good notably great strides in skill since our season opener.  “The moral was high and a great sense of team was shared throughout,” said Coach Heidi. “As always, the super parent and student body support was appreciated!” Final Score: WMS 1, Rumsey 7
