Please note there are no Middle School after school activities this week.
Our 8th Grade students will be in Arizona for the annual 8th Grade Service Trip. They will be staying at the Triangle Y Ranch Camp, which serves disadvantaged youth from the area. While there, the students will have a variety of service projects including constructing a bird-viewing area and building a tortoise enclosure. The group will also spend time exploring the area, hiking and visiting the Biosphere 2 facility in Oracle, Arizona.
The seventh grade will leave for its class trip to Boston on Wednesday April 24. The class will leave from school at 8:30 a.m. and head off to Plimoth Plantation where they will spend the day exploring. They will then travel to Lexington Montessori School where they will end the day with a community meeting, some quiet activities, and sleep. On Thursday, students will wake up, make breakfast, pack their lunches, and head to the T. They will visit Faneuil Hall and the Science museum. Afterward, they will have dinner out before returning to LMS for community meeting, quiet activities and sleep. When students wake up Friday morning, they will make breakfast, pack their lunches and head into Boston for a self-guided tour of the Black Heritage Trail before heading back home.
Sixth Grade students will spend Monday volunteering at the Loaves and Fishes Hospitality House in New Milford. They will return back to school in time for 3:15 p.m. pickup.
The class will spend Tuesday through Thursday visiting and volunteering at various local attractions including the Trevor Zoo at Millbrook School, the Pratt Nature Center and the Livingston Ripley Waterfowl Conservatory. They will be back at school on Thursday for a 3:15 p.m. pickup.
