Our 6th Grade students spent the day at the Hotchkiss School in Lakeville taking part in a fun-filled day of workshops and activities in math and science. The day began with a presentation by Mr. Michael Boone, a veteran engineering teacher with over 13 years of real-world experience on a wide variety of projects, including test equipment for space shuttle, nuclear waste equipment for Chernobyl, and theme park rides for Universal Studios. The day continued with hands-on workshops led by math and science teachers and working professionals from the community. During lunch break, they explored activity tables with a variety of puzzles and games set up by Hotchkiss.
