Dear WMS Community,

Given the short week, there is not much to share so I thought I might take this opportunity to acknowledge the adults (parents and teachers) in our community for all of your hard work. During these first 11 weeks of school we have been fortunate to have had only a couple of positive COVID cases at WMS. To date, these cases have not spread among our at-school population which is a testament to the community-wide effort to practice safe COVID mitigation behaviors. Additionally, we should feel good about all of the learning that continues to go on for those here in the building as well as those who are working remotely.

As the winter descends upon us, we will no doubt see a rise in cases in the US, our region, our counties and perhaps even, our school. Preparing for this by honoring our good work thus far to remain safe and open is a collective effort. Thank you and let’s keep up the good work!

Finally, I thought you might like to see what a great job the children are doing wearing masks.
