We are very excited to be offering skateboarding as an after-school option for our Middle School students on Wednesdays this Spring. The first class will be Wednesday, March 31 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and will continue on Wednesdays through Wednesday, May 26. Skateboarding will be taught by our own Chris May, a professional instructor who has been skating for more than 25 years.
This program is intended to be an introduction to the sport, but students of all ability levels are encouraged to participate. In this program, students will learn to stand, push, turn, and do tricks, but more importantly, the goal will be to have fun! An art as much as a sport, skateboarding involves no scores and no rules and fosters creativity and individuality!
Everyone can learn to skate!… even those who think they can’t
