Thank you so much for supporting Washington Montessori camps. We had been planning for another successful year of fun, friendships, and learning since early in January and hoped—even through the evolution of the pandemic—to offer a safe and enriching environment for our campers.
However, based on current guidelines and restrictions from the office of Gov. Lamont, as well as early guidelines from the CT Office of Early Childhood, we believe it is in the best interest of the health and safety of your children to cancel our traditional on-campus summer programs for 2020. Although all guidelines have not been released yet, we felt we needed to make a decision sooner rather than later to assist in your planning for alternatives.
I am sure this will be disappointing news for many of you but please know the decision was not made lightly and was deliberated first and foremost with the health and safety of your families in mind. All payments made for summer camp will be refunded to you through our business office. If you are a current WMS family and would like your camp credit applied to your 2020-2021 tuition, please email me and I will inform the business office.
I regret I will not be able to meet some of you in person for the first time this summer or welcome others back for a new session. I do hope to see many of you back on campus in the fall and next summer for WMS Camp 2021.
All my best wishes,
